The Opportunity Join Ramsay as our Manager, Data Operations and spearhead the optimisation of data management throughout our organisation. In this critical role, you will leverage your expertise in data quality, governance, security, processing, and reporting to uphold the reliability and integrity of our data systems. Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to drive improvements in processes and infrastructure. What You’ll Do
Implement and uphold data quality standards and governance procedures to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
Ensure adherence to data privacy regulations and security standards through effective data access management, encryption, and other security measures.
Drive initiatives to guarantee the consistent availability of high-quality data for all critical business operations, including:
Manage and maintain data systems, such as data warehouses, data lakes, and data pipelines, to maximise performance and uptime.
Identify and resolve bottlenecks in data processing workflows to minimise delays and ensure timely data delivery.
Develop and implement robust data backup and recovery strategies to minimise the impact of system failures and ensure data continuity.
Engage with key stakeholders across the organisation, building strong relationships and ensuring alignment on data priorities.
Lead a high-performing team of data operations analysts responsible for managing data pipelines, ETL processes, and data Lakehouse solutions. Exemplify Ramsay's values, enhance the company’s reputation, and contribute to its industry branding.
Your Skills and Experience
Extensive technical experience in data operations leadership, with a deep understanding of data management principles and best practices.
At least 10 years of experience in Data Operations and/or Data Engineering.
Proficiency in: Microsoft Power BI, Google Cloud, Big Query, DBT, Airflow, Microsoft SQL Server.
Proven track record in leading and motivating data teams, creating a positive and collaborative work environment.
Advanced technical skills in data warehousing, data modelling, data security, and data system administration.
Expertise in optimising data processing pipelines to ensure data availability and reliability.
Strong ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Agile mindset and behaviours, adept at adapting to a rapidly evolving data landscape.
