An exciting opportunity exists for a permanent full time Labourer to join our Engineering and Infrastructure Directorate in Clermont. Located approximately 109km inland from Emerald, Clermont is a small mining community that prides itself in its picturesque local scenery, rich history and various recreational activities. This position reports to the Team Leader – Parks and Recreation and is responsible for the care, maintenance and development of the green spaces in Clermont and its surrounds. This includes all our parks, gardens, reserves, cemeteries, sporting precincts, aerodromes, some roadsides, and community facilities in our smaller towns and camping areas.
To be successful in one of these positions, you will have:
- The ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
- A sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety
- A White Card - Construction Induction
- A ‘C’ Class Open Australian Drivers Licence
- The ability to pass pre-employment functional assessment and/or behavioural testing
If you are successful, we will provide you:
- Stream B Level Two (2) - Level Three (3)

$62,559.61 - $63,707.94 per annum plus allowances, including:
- o Locality allowance
- o Outdoor workwear allowance
- o Construction workers allowance
- o On Call allowance
- Nominally 76 hours over a 9-day fortnight
- 5 weeks annual leave pro-rata @ 17.5% loading
- Up to 14% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
- RDO’s in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement
