International Import & Export Logistics Coordinator - 9 month temp role

Position description Reporting to the Traffic Supervisor, you will assist with import and export logistic functions and system data entry. Job Duties/Essential Functions
Full function import and export into Australia and New Zealand
Place bookings with freight forwarder / shipping line
Compiling and processing of all import/export documentation, including Customs/Biosecurity/MPI paperwork eg FTA, treatment certificates, duty drawbacks, export certificates, EDN etc
Preparation of import customs clearance
Verification of freight rates against negotiated charge structure
Arrange delivery to depot or warehouse
Liaising with freight forwarders, customs broker, couriers, transport companies, 3PL and shipping lines
Provide visibility and assistance to the wider buying team of import/export shipments by sea, air or courier
Reporting of deviations in Supply Chain and charges incurred
Facilitating the processing of duty and freight rate requests, and import/export requirements
Assist in the preparation of freight, warehousing, transport quotes
Problem solving and issue resolution for both internal and external stakeholders
Assisting the manager and supervisor with various logistic projects
Assisting in other areas of the department as necessary
Required qualifications / industry specific skills Education/Training:
Bachelor Degree in disciplines of Commerce, Marketing (Channels), Supply Chain, Accounting/Finance, Communications or International Business.
Knowledge/Skills:
Strong attention to detail, responsible, logical, proactive, studious, hands on, willing to learn and able to prioritise
Approachable with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong probem solving, evaluation and analytical skills
Strong math and Microsoft excel skills
Ability to multi-task, with strong organisation and problem solving skills
Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
Other Specific requirements
