We are a member-owned music rights management organisation, positioned at the intersection of music, data and technology. We have more than 119,000 members who are songwriters, composers and music publishers. We license organisations to play, perform, copy or record our members’ music, and we distribute the royalties to our members.
The International Payments team ensures Australian and New Zealand songwriters are paid for the use of their musical works overseas. The role’s core responsibility is to process detailed transactional data received from our affiliate societies around the world, to ensure the accurate and timely payment to APRA AMCOS membership. The successful applicant will be an effective communicator and team player, who is focused, efficient, and able to adapt to changing priorities.
This is a full-time, permanent role, and we are open to it being based in any of our Australian offices.
In this role you will:
Process incoming data
Perform checks and run reports to identify and resolve any discrepancies
Assist in researching internal or external queries relating to incoming data
Research titles and related information online
We’re looking for:
Sound numeracy, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
A good eye for detail
Strong research skills
A keen interest in contemporary and popular music (AUS and NZ songwriters, in particular) and broadcast film & TV programmes.
An understanding of music copyright and publishing (well-regarded but not essential).
