PHE Mining is seeking a highly motivated HSE Advisor to join our team on a 2:1 roster working at a remote mine site in the Northern Territory.
Reporting to the HSE Lead, this role will ensure a culture of safety and quality on site, as well as maintain compliance with management systems. You will be responsible for providing HSE support, training, and building safety knowledge across for our people in the surface / underground environment. This role is working in an Underground Gold Mine and the roster is split between day shift and night shift. ABOUT YOU:
Diploma OHS qualified or Minimum of Cert IV WHS and TAE
Internal Auditing training (preferred)
Sound working knowledge and understanding of WHS and Environmental legislation, standards and code of practice
D&A testing qualification or ability to obtain
Return to Work Coordination Qualification
Previous experience in a HSE Advisors position working on Industrial Electrical construction projects
Sound Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel skills
Strong Safety Leadership
Highly organised with impeccable attention to detail
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Provide leadership that encourages Work Health, Safety & Environment throughout site to create a continuous improvement culture and implement best practice management systems in the workplace
Undertake regular training needs analysis and manage internal audit programs in consultation with management team
Prepare reports, record data, and collect evidence of the site’s compliance
Provide active management of workers' compensation matters, including rehabilitation, case management and return to work programs
Reporting any workers compensation matters to Management
Ensure that all people work sensibly, safely and abide to all WHS & Environmental Acts and Regulations
Conduct random D&A testing on site
Identify health, safety, and environmental non-conformances, conduct investigations and develop solutions for implementation
