First Aid -Trainer and Assessor

Lead College is a progressive Registered Training Organisation, with multiple courses that are designed to help students gain qualifications, skills and knowledge in areas that match their talents and desires. We offer courses in various fields such as community services, business administration, early childhood education, automotive, hospitality, leadership & management, information technology & network security.
Lead College is dedicated to providing high-quality first aid training to individuals and organizations. We are looking for a passionate and experienced First Aid Trainer and Assessor to join our team and help us deliver exceptional training programs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Training: Conduct engaging and interactive training sessions in First Aid
  • Assessment: Develop and implement assessment tools, conduct assessments, and provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Curriculum Development: Assist in the development and updating of training materials and curriculum to ensure they meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Student Support: Provide academic support and guidance to students, addressing their individual learning needs and helping them achieve their educational goals.
  • Compliance: Ensure all training and assessment activities comply with relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational policies.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in first aid practices and training techniques.
  • Promote a positive learning environment and encourage participant engagement.
Essential selection criteria:
  • Certification as a First Aid Trainer and Assessor (e.g., from a recognized body such as the Red Cross or St. John Ambulance).
  • Extensive experience in delivering first aid training.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or higher
  • Strong knowledge of first aid practices and procedures.
  • A valid Working with Children Check and a Police Check no more than 1 year old.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and proficiency in using digital tools for training and assessment.
  • Ability to assess participants’ competencies accurately and fairly.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to promoting health and safety.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in healthcare or emergency services.
  • Additional certifications in related areas (e.g., CPR, AED).
Job Types: Casual, Contract
Pay: From $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 14 per week
Education:
  • Diploma (Preferred)
Experience:
  • teaching: 1 year (Required)
Licence/Certification:
  • First Aid Certification (Required)
  • Working with Children Check (Required)

  • Australia (Required)
