Two Rivers Wines at Denman are currently seeking an Event, Functions and Catering organiser to join our team. Key Tasks & Responsibilities: You will require exemplary customer service skills, coupled with experience in the hospitality sector and/ or wine industry. Additionally, you will be a team player, with excellent communication skills and a positive and vibrant approach, with the flexibility to work over a 5-day roster including weekends and public holidays. Tasks include: -
· Delivering exceptional customer service to Two Rivers visitors through establishing rapport with guests to provide memorable experiences.
· Promoting conferences and events to potential customers.
Responding to inquiries concerning services provided and costs for room and equipment hire, catering and related services.
Meeting with clients to discuss their needs and outlining package options to meet these needs
Plan and execute events, including corporate meetings, conferences, trade shows, and social events.
Liaise with clients on the day of their event.
Handle post-event evaluation, reporting, and client feedback.
Lead hospitality related events such as long lunches and wine and food matching functions.
Work closely with our contract chef or catering company to ensure the venue and menu meets event requirements.
Communicate product and brand information to guests.
Work in a manner which is conducive to & compliant with all company WH & S policies and procedures.
Any other tasks as required.
Essential Qualifications & experience
Proven experience in organising conferences, corporate events, or large-scale functions.
Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and manage unexpected challenges.
Proficiency in event management software and tools is a plus.
Flexibility to work outside regular business hours as needed.
Able to show initiative and work independently and as part of team.
High level of attention to detail and the ability to prioritise work tasks.
Excellent communication skills, polite and confident with a great deal of patience
Aptitude in resolving issues.
Computer proficiency, including the use of POS and EFT systems.
Other Employment Requirements:
· Responsible Service of Alcohol Certification.
· Food Safety Supervisor certification
