The Role
The Electromagnetic Warfare Intelligence Systems, Active Electronically Scanned Array Systems Program Office (EWIS AESA SPO) is seeking an experienced business manager adept with procurement and contract management processes and the coordination and management of corporate reporting requirements and business plan implementation.

This position will manage the SPO’s contractual arrangements for the provision of external workforce and lead a team delivering business activities including workforce management, finance, security, records management, governance and quality assurance activities to all business units within the SPO.

About our Team
AESA SPO is part of the Electromagnetic Warfare and Intelligence Systems (EWIS) Branch, within the Department of Defence’s Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG). AESA SPO manages engagements between the Department of Defence and CEA Technologies – a supplier of world-leading radar technologies that are designed, developed and manufactured in Australia.

More broadly, EWIS Branch is charged with the responsibility of acquiring and sustaining a broad range of electromagnetic warfare and signals intelligence systems in both tactical and strategic domains, and can provide teams with a wide range of exciting career opportunities.

We need a Business Manager who has:

Demonstrated achievement in business planning, management and delivery of a range of business and administrative activities.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to achieve best-fit organisational solutions.
Demonstrated interpersonal, written and communication skills, including relationship building, resilience and adaptability and tailoring your approach when targeting audiences.
Experience in making decisions based on professional judgement, evaluating risk in the context of a complex and changing environment.
An understanding of Commonwealth procurement rules and the ability to interpret documentation under limited direction.
