Supporting people with disabilities is about helping them to achieve their goals, develop their capabilities and build independence, and fully participate in the community. About the Role - Must be able to provide personal care tasks and available to work 3 a week.***** We support children, young people and families, people with disabilities, and people with mental illness. Empower U Support Teams focussed on co-production, supporting people to make decisions about their life and support. The support you provide might include:
Personal care, such as help with dressing, eating, showering, toileting, or moving around the house
Helping the person develop skills – for example, making a budget, taking public transport, using assistive technology, or preparing meals
Assisting the person to participate in social outings, recreational activities and community events
Providing companionship, conversation and emotional support.
Assisting with transport to attend appointments
Domestic assistance, such as house cleaning, shopping, laundry, or performing errands
