Where you’ll be working The Cancer Institute NSW is the NSW Government’s cancer control agency, established to lessen the impact of cancer across the state.

What you’ll be doing In this role you will be required to assist with the recruitment of people into the Prostate Cancer Outcomes Registry-NSW (PCOR-NSW) and participate in the collection of clinical information and patient reported outcome measures. You will have demonstrated experience working in a clinical quality registry as well as an understanding of health information and privacy.

Essential requirements
Knowledge of the NSW Health system and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act
Experience abstracting clinical data from histopathology reports and medical records
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and time management skills
High level Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams
Must be willing to travel throughout NSW on a regular basis*
Role required to occasionally work out of hours for remote data collection
Please note that work-related expenses such as travel will be covered by the Cancer Institute NSW
If successful for interview, candidates must bring original copies of essential qualifications to be sighted by the panel, and one copy to provide to panel.
Pre-screening questions
Please outline your experience in working in a prostate cancer project and explain how you ensured the timely collection and quality of data whilst simultaneously developing strong relationships with stakeholders who served as the custodians of the data.
Please provide details of your experience working in a clinical quality registry. What was your role and what challenges did you experience?
