We are seeking dynamic and motivated leaders to join our Criminal Investigations teams within the Fraud and Criminal Behaviours (FCB) business area.
FCB is dedicated to developing comprehensive solutions to address deliberate, systemic, or complex behaviours, that threaten the integrity of the Taxation and Superannuation systems. We play a key role in supporting the ATO's core compliance functions by conducting a wide range of investigations across a broad range of tax-related crimes, including those pursued through the Serious Financial Crimes Taskforce.
As a Criminal Investigation Manager, you will be responsible for investigating sophisticated fraud offences, adhering to criminal standards of proof, and preparing comprehensive briefs of evidence for submission to the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions.
You will provide expert guidance on investigation strategies and serve as a key liaison between the ATO and external agencies, including the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions and the Australian Federal Police.
You will lead teams conducting complex investigations, fostering staff development through mentorship and training. The following will be highly regarded:
- Qualifications in Investigations, Law or Finance related fields
- Expertise in investigative data, digital or cyber literacy
- Excellence in intelligence-led, data-driven approaches to solving serious crimes.
This role may require interstate travel and a current Australian driver’s licence is essential. You may be required, at times, to work flexible hours outside of the standard bandwidth.
These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in
Adelaide, Brisbane CBD, Canberra, Melbourne CBD, Newcastle, Perth or Sydney CBD.
