About the role
ACC’s Brindley Park Property Group is a large-scale Wagyu/Angus stud and commercial backgrounding operation is an aggregation of 10 properties spanning over 70,000 acres and carrying up to 9000 head of cattle.
This role, situated at Toarki station 70 kms from Roma, reporting to the Brindley Park Property Group Operations Manager, will work autonomously caretaking cattle, water, maintenance and infrastructure across a number of properties, making up 30,000 acres of the cattle breeding and backgrounding operation.
General duties include (but not limited to):

Monitoring and maintenance of water systems and supply
General property upkeep and maintenance including fences, yards & sheds etc
Assisting with cattle processing & handling when required
Monitoring and observations of cattle
Assistance with some fabrication and property infrastructure CAPEX projects
Completing supplement runs
Maintaining accurate records & data capture

About you
This is an ideal role for a knowledgeable and highly experienced cattle all-rounder who is self-motivated and can work safely and reliably without supervision. The successful candidate will have:

Full commitment to best practice livestock handling and animal welfare practices
Practical knowledge & understanding of property water systems
Mechanically minded with an indepth knowledge of plant, equipment, tools and machinery operation (including welding)
Excellent observations skills & attention to detail
Ability to accurately record tasks and simple data on mobile App or computer
Commitment to working safely
Manual Drivers Licence
Firearms Licence or the ability to obtain one
Fitness to safely undertake physical tasks
