About the roles ACC's largest cattle breeding property, situated on 2.3 million acres, just 150kms from Mount Isa on the NT border, has several vacancies for station hands and one (newly created) role for a hybrid Administration/Station Hand (60% admin & 40% livestock). Station hands do a range of activities that include:
Cattle handling & processing using low stress handling techniques
Mustering and moving cattle on horseback and 2-wheel motorbike
Horse care and feeding
Safe operation of vehicles, tools and equipment
Accurate collection and recording of data
General station activities such as fencing & basic maintenance

About you For Station Hands, ideally you're a competent horse rider with a passion for livestock who has some cattle handling experience - we'll happily teach you the rest. What we can't teach you, that you must bring is:

Current and valid manual drivers licence
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Sound physical fitness and agility that enables you to safely undertake physical aspects of the job

Strong computer literacy and keyboard skills
