Lasseters Health Club - Assistant Manager
Location: Central Australia, Alice Springs
Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 depending on skills and expierence
To be accountable for the day-to-day operations of Lasseters Health Club, to drive sales and profitability, provide leadership and development to Club Staff, ensuring a high standard of service to members and managing all related activities in a commercial and cost-effective manner.
To contribute to and be proactive in delivering solutions that promote and create positive member experiences at Lasseters Health Club that fulfils our mission to make fitness fun, convenient and affordable.
Job requirements:
- Qualification in health, business or commerce or strong business acumen and demonstrated experience in similar environment (e.g. fitness, retail, customer service etc.)
- Minimum Certificate III in Fitness
- Customer service and retail experience advantageous
- First Aid certificate and CPR
- Computer literacy – including intermediate level of Word, Excel, Outlook
- Committed to thriving in Alice Springs N.T long term

- Ability to manage client complaints and ensure customer satisfaction
4. Operational Management:
- Ability to assist in managing day-to-day Club operations
- Strong organisational, prioritisation and multitasking skills to oversee various aspects of operation
- Familiarity with point-of-sale, inventory management & ordering, rostering
- Strong computer literacy – intermediate level of Word, Excel, Outlook and ability to pick up new systems
5. Sales and Marketing Acumen:
- Ability to drive sales through promotions and product sales to achieve sales targets
- Experience in developing and executing marketing strategies to attract successful outcomes
- Understanding of financial management, including budgeting and reporting
6. Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
- Approachable, conscientious and confident
- High level of communication skills, both verbal and written
- Results driven with a healthy sense of urgency
- Ability to work collaboratively within a direct team with diverse skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with the broader company including other departments and senior management
7. Business acumen:
- Understanding of retail and service sales, profit margins and cost control
- Experience in managing vendor relationships and purchasing
