As the Assistant Director at Goodstart CDU, you'll leverage your expertise and leadership to inspire and motivate your centre team, driving continuous improvement across all areas of centre operations. Collaborate with our dedicated leadership team, forge respectful and reciprocal relationships with families, and actively engage with the local community networks.
In this role, you will:
Support the Centre Director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care
Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team
Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the Centre Director’s absence

At Goodstart CDU, we’re dedicated to providing a nurturing and educational environment for 100 children per day aged 6 weeks to school age. Our new, state-of-the-art centre is conveniently located on the Charles Darwin University (CDU) campus in Darwin, along Lakeside Drive.

Children need to feel safe and supported to learn and grow, so we promote key educator relationships between our educators and children. Your child will have at least one key educator who takes them under their wing and really gets to know them. We keep families informed with regular updates on their child's progress and we welcome family involvement in our centre events and activities.

If you have previous experience as an Assistant Director or in a centre leadership position, or similar, then we’d love to talk to you about which of our amazing opportunities would be the best fit for you.
You’ll need:
A Diploma or bachelor’s in early childhood education
Hold a current Working with Children Check, or be willing to obtain one
Experience with leading and managing change within education, health or community services
Experience in delivering integrated early childhood services in areas of disadvantage
Proven commercial acumen with financial and operational performance management
