This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading The Role If you an APS 6 Workplace Relations Advisor with experience in Enterprise Agreements, Code of Conduct Investigations, based in Canberra and looking to for a long term contract, this just might be the role for you! Duties
Provide high-level advice on industrial relations issues, including dispute resolution, grievance handling, and code of conduct investigations.
Case-manage staff complaints and conduct or coordinate thorough investigations into alleged breaches of the APS Values & Code of Conduct.
Provide advice on solutions that are fair, impartial and would withstand independent scrutiny.
Assist in conciliation processes between parties involved in workplace disputes. Assist with cases related to unfair dismissal, general protection, and discrimination.
Oversee performance management processes, including coaching and mentoring managers dealing with underperformance and probationary issues.
In partnership with other HR team members, contribute to the development, implementation and review of HR policies and procedures.
Stay informed about changes in employment legislation and industry trends.
Do You Have?
Cultural capability i.e. demonstrated knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and the ability to engage authentically and respectfully.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in human resources, law, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience in a similar role (minimum 2 years).
Expert knowledge of employment laws, legislation, regulations, Enterprise Agreements, and workplace policies.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and build effective relationships with stakeholders.
