As part of the Australian Government's commitment to a strong and robust anti-dumping and countervailing system, the Department of Industry, Science and Resources is seeking expressions of interest from persons who would like to be considered for appointment as Panel Members on the Anti-Dumping Review Panel. The ADRP is a merits review panel, established to conduct administrative reviews in relation to certain anti-dumping and countervailing measures decisions.
As a Panel Member, you will be required to undertake independent reviews of certain decisions made under Part XVB of the Customs Act 1901 (the Act) and the World Trade Organisation's anti-dumping agreement.
Suitable candidates will possess a relevant tertiary degree, such as in law, commerce, or economics. You will have integrity, sound judgment and decision-making ability and be able to work independently within a statutory context. Experience in statutory interpretation, administrative law and decision making is essential, in addition to high level strategic and analytical written and communication skills. It is highly desirable that candidates can demonstrate experience working in the Australian domestic anti-dumping and countervailing field and have knowledge of (and experience with) the industries that are the focus of the Review Panel caseload. Eligible applicants must have the ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of a Baseline security clearance (this includes being an Australian Citizen).
