We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated administration officer with excellent customer service skills to join our team at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick. The role primarily involves reception desk cover and clerical duties for the Allied Health Departments at SCH.
What you'll be doing
This Level 3 Administration Officer works in a team of five administration officers providing a quality support service to the Allied Health departments. This highly functioning, busy admin team supports clinicians in the day to day patient related, reception, clerical and secretarial duties including first line telephone communication, patient reception and enquiries, appointment bookings, handling medical records, registering and checking-in patients and maintaining stationery and equipment supplies. This position requires an experienced person with highly developed customer service skills, excellent planning, sound decision and time-management skills, problem solving and organisational skills. They work collaboratively with the other members of the admin team to ensure a quality frontline service and comprehensive administrative support for a variety of allied health professionals.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, professional telephone manner with face to face customer service skills.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively in a team environment, preferably in healthcare
- Recognised organisational skills with proven ability to prioritise duties and demonstrated flexibility to adjust workflow to ensure high quality outcomes and improved efficiency
- Proven ability to effectively perform a variety of tasks which may require some independent judgement and problem solving, in a busy work environment
- Understanding of the work processes within the allied health departments in order to provide appropriate support
- Accurate data entry and attention to details with experience using Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and Outlook
