Youth Pastor

DC Youth Pastor
The primary responsibility of the DC Youth Pastor is to ensure that each Middle/High School Student connect with the overall mission of DC Church to develop true Knowing, Growing, Going followers of Jesus.
Ministry Responsibilities:
1. Conduct weekly DC Student gatherings that offer growth with their relationship with God and with others in a fun environment.
2. Communicate with DC Students during the week through ministry Social Media updates.
3. Regularly communicate with parents, families, and DC Student volunteers on ministry related matters.
5. Recruit, train, and lead DC Student Ministry volunteers.
6. Respond to emails, phone calls, texts, and inquiries about DC Student Ministry.
7. Weekly follow-up meetings with Lead Pastor or designated Leadership.
8. Spending time weekly with students on their campuses
8. Attend Monthly DC Leadership Meetings.
9. Attend at least 1 Sunday Morning DC service but be available after each service to connect with Students and Parents.

1. A growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
2. An attitude of being faithful, available, and teachable.
3. A passion for teens learning about the love and greatness of God.
4. A desire and ability to work effectively with a team to reach goals.
5. Genuine interest in the hopes, needs, and growth of Middle/High School Students and Young Adults at DC and in the community.
6. Experience working in a church setting with Student Ministries either in a paid position or volunteer role.
7. Student Ministry education or training preferred but not required.

1. Maintain God-ordained priorities in your life by putting Jesus Christ first, your family second and ministry third.
2. Honor God with your financial giving toward the mission and vision of DC Church.
3. Be loyal to the vision and leadership team of DC Church and always protect the unity of the church.
4. Demonstrate a Christ-like attitude through all interactions with staff, volunteers, and parents.
5. Invest and invite the least, lost, and lonely to know Jesus and to come to Destination Community Church.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
