Veterinary Receptionist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients and their pets, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. This role requires a love for animals and a strong understanding of veterinary practices, as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive experience.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
Process payments and manage medical collections with attention to detail (Pulse system experience a plus!).
Provide information to clients about basic animal care.
Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
Stay updated on veterinary terminology and practices to effectively communicate with clients and staff.

Requirements

Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for animal care and welfare.
Experience in a veterinary environment is preferred.
Familiarity with veterinary terminology is a plus.
Knowledge of basic animal husbandry practices is beneficial.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a busy setting.
Proficient in using office equipment and software for scheduling and record keeping.
A commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding client information and medical records.
