Tree Trimmer/Climber

Overview
We are seeking a part time-as needed skilled Tree trimmer/Climber to join our team. This role involves working at heights to perform tree trimming, care, and maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the outdoors and a strong understanding of tree health and safety practices. As a Tree Climber, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the beauty and health of landscapes while ensuring the safety of both yourself and those around you.
Duties

Perform tree trimming and pruning to maintain healthy growth and appearance.
Remove trees using proper industry and safety standards
Utilize rigging techniques to lower branches safely and efficiently.
Conduct regular inspections of trees to assess health and identify potential hazards.
Implement proper tree care practices.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during projects.
Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.
Document work performed.
Knowledge of tree species, growth patterns, and care techniques is beneficial.
Ability to work at heights safely and effectively using climbing gear.
Strong physical fitness ability to handle the demands of outdoor work in various weather conditions.
A willingness to learn new skills related to tree climbing, rigging, and maintenance practices.
A Climber uses sophisticated climbing and rigging techniques to cut away dead or excess branches from trees or shrubs to improve the appearance, health, and value of trees. As a Climber, you will prune/treat trees or shrubs using chainsaws, handsaws, hand pruners, clippers, and power pruners. You will work both on the ground and in the tree canopy.
Must be proficient in industry standards for proper tree trimming, removal, and groundwork.
Must be able to complete a preemployment proficiency test before hiring that includes job requirements such as climbing, trimming, knot tying, and chainsaw maintenance
Must demonstrate an understanding of the safe handling and operation of chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, and other equipment.
Requirements
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record per Company requirements
Must be able to pay attention to detail
Must have strong Organizational skills
Must maintain a Professional appearance and behavior
Must have strong oral and written communication skills
Must have the ability to problem solve
Must meet all physical requirements of the position
Must pass all drug and alcohol screens, and background checks that are required by Company policy and, if applicable, required by DOT regulations
3+ years Previous experience in tree trimming and removal required (references required).
21 years of age or older
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must follow all osha and industry safety and personal protection laws/rules required by law and the company.
