If so, the City of Salisbury has the perfect position for you! Join our team as a Tree Specialist Maintenance Worker (SR GMW) in the Public Works Department. The City relies on the hard work of our employees to provide essential services such as working on maintaining and caring of grounds, parks, trails, cemeteries, utility easements, rights of way, and related City owned property that will be used daily by our community, and event preparation; working with a diverse team to solve problems that range from setting up a parade to planning and planting an entire landscape bed. Work outside of normal working hours is needed and available.
To join this team, you must enjoy working in all weather conditions and have the willingness to learn and try new things
Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Must have a valid NC Class A or B CDL

Tree experience

Bucket truck experience

Some knowledge of the tools, equipment, and practices used in grounds maintenance

Ability to operate machinery and equipment and perform maintenance and repairs

Ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time

Ability to work after normal business hours in on-call and emergency situations

Closing Date: November 19, 2024
Salary range: $17.71 - $25.32 (depending on experience)
