What to Expect
As the Trade Validations Specialist for Used Car Operations, you will be responsible for auditing ownership details for all incoming trade-ins and managing down our trade-in defect rate in your designated region. You will work with local Sales and Delivery teams to ensure a smooth ownership transfer process for our customers to move out of their current vehicles and into a Tesla. You will ensure quick cash conversion of the trade-in by monitoring trade-in execution error rates and issue trends, presenting the data trends and proposed solutions directly to local management, and conducting site-specific training on the trade-in process/document updates. To guarantee compliance and resolution, you will keep up to date on state-specific DMV regulations and adapt quickly to specific trade-in process changes as they arise. You will be the primary point of contact for Tesla Advisors and your local Sales and Delivery managers.
What You’ll Do
- Review documentation for all incoming trade-in vehicles for accuracy keeping Tesla within compliance of state/federal regulations
- Support local Tesla Sales and Delivery teams for all trade-in questions, specifically regarding ownership transfer process
- Review executed trade-in documentation and analyze improperly executed documentation and issue trends
- Develop and implement solutions to mitigate all intake issues and ensure the solutions are maintained
- Partner with internal teams to drive immediate resolutions on missing, and/or aging escalated document execution issues
- Develop and implement training and/or controls to coach local Sales and Delivery teams in best practices by owning detailed metrics and KPI tracking systems. Maintain an accurate problem trade/resolution report and be prepared for weekly review with the regional team and North America Managers
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of professional experience
- Strong attention to detail and solutions oriented mindset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Prior experience in a training role will be highly valued
- Previous experience working with vehicle titles is highly preferred
- Notary preferred

Expected Compensation
- Compliance Administrator I - $19.60 - $29.40/hour
- Compliance Administrator II - $22.40 - $33.60/hour
- Compliance Administrator III - $25.60 - $38.40/hour
- Compliance Administrator IV - $30.40 - $45.60/hour
- Lead Compliance Administrator - $35.20 - $52.80/hour

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
