The Department of Parks and Recreation, Parks Maintenance and Recreation Services Division, West Honolulu District II Branch, is looking for one (1) experienced mower who can operate passenger-type power mowers to mow and trim grass at all parks assigned to District II (Makiki to Aiea). Position work schedule is 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; however, work schedule is subject to change. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Performing operator maintenance services to mowers as needed, including, but not limited to, making minor repairs, lubricating parts with oil, battery checks, and clearing units.
- Operating trucks to transport personnel and equipment to and from work locations.
- Operating vehicles such as, but not limited to, operating pickup truck GVW 8600, CC7126, trailer CC542, Lawn Mower Jacobsen T528D Turf Cat. Truck GVW 15000, CC6330, trailer CC550, Tractor Mower Jacobsen HR9015.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
At time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
TRAINING & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Some experience and/or training in the repair or operation of passenger type power mowers or similar motorized equipment.
Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of the operation and general maintenance of power mowers representative of the class and occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work; and the ability to learn the methods and procedures used in grounds maintenance work and operate, maintain, and make minor repairs to power mowers.
LICENSE REQUIREMENT:
Possession of an appropriate valid Hawaii State driver's license, as required.

The current vacancy requires the following licensure and certification:

- Valid Hawaii State driver's license (Type 3/automobile), prior to appointment;
- Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Examiner's Certificate, prior to appointment;
- Hearing Conservation Program (HCP) Test, prior to appointment.
