Job Title: Tool/Mold Maker
Location: In person, Tool Room
Reports to: Engineering Manager, Director of Operations, and President and Owner of Merlin Mold & Manufacturing, Inc.
Position Summary: A Merlin Mold & Manufacturing, Inc., Mold/Tool Maker is a highly skilled tool or mold maker that understands plastic injection repair and maintenance. They will have the ability to fix molds, fixturing devices, and equipment, using multiple machines and different techniques to build designs to tolerances that are required to meet the objectives and scope of each job. This will be a position where the Mold/Tool maker may work independently or with direct instruction from senior staff.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
· Repair, maintenance, and construction of plastic injection tooling, manufacturing assembly fixtures and dies.
· All ISO required logs to be filled out timely and appropriately, such as project time sheets.
· Properly maintain a clean and organized work area
Minimum Qualifications:
· 2 years’ of proven experience working in machining.
-Must have OWN tools.
· The ability to adequately utilize precision measuring instruments.
· Strong math skills
· Independent thinker
Success Factors:
· Basic CNC Programming, understanding and capability.
· Journeyman
Physical Demands:
· Physical stamina, ability to stand for long periods of time and lift over 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
· The ability to tolerate heat and cold with or without reasonable accommodation.
Performance Standards: Proficiency and accuracy of work required will be constantly reviewed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
