JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Schedules and performs the transportation of equipment, materials, and supplies between animal facilities, including caging, feed, bedding, environmental enrichment, animal care equipment, and other supplies to ensure critical operation supplies are maintained and available at all operational sites within the program.

Qualifications:
Ability to use hands in a repetitive motion, good oral, written, and observation skills. Standard repetitive work, involving straightforward application of work rules and procedures. Must be able to follow instructions given by supervisor. Must be able to follow written standard operating procedures. Must be able to work as a team member. Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors. Must have mechanical skills and general mechanical knowledge. Operation of delivery truck and van Operation of pallet jack

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: High school diploma or GED (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
Clear Driving Record

EXPERIENCE: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Must have the ability to follow written and verbal directions with attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisor. Must have the ability to perform physical duties, which may include standing, pushing, pulling and lifting; pushing or pulling loaded bulk trucks and racks. Must have the ability to withstand extensive exposure to disagreeable elements such as elevated temperatures, high humidity, dust, and excessive noise; possess manual dexterity skills to assemble and disassemble cages, load caging into automated washing machines, and re-assemble cleaned cages. Must have ability and willingness to use disinfecting and sterilizing chemical agents; ability and willingness to wear the protective gear provided by the department. Previous experience with animals, sanitization, or operating of machinery is desirable.
