Talent Coordinator
American Cruise Lines is actively seeking a Talent Coordinator to join our team in Guilford. CT. A Talent Coordinator has fundamental knowledge in a broad array of topics related to employee benefits, compensation, travel, hiring, onboarding, and evaluations. They work closely with the Onboarding Coordinator to ensure that they maintain employee records and handle all communication with the crew. A Talent Coordinator is responsible for maintaining staffing levels on all American Cruise Lines ships, accurately forecast upcoming fleet needs, track all unpaid leave, coordinate all travel to and from the ships, and provide compliance guidance.
Responsibilities:
- Answer and resolve all incoming calls and emails from shipboard employees.
- Order crew uniforms to training center or ship.
- Forecast fleet needs.
- Coordinate ship placements.
- Coordinate all travel to and from the ship.
- Track and arrange all unpaid leave requests.
- Maintain accurate employee records on Paycor and Navigator.
- Generating internal documents.
- Educating incoming inquiries on policies, internal procedures, and regulations.
- Creating contact/outreach calendar.
- Providing company news and updates to temporary shipboard crew.
- Coordinate employee development plans and performance management.
- Recommend strategies to motivate shipboard employees.
- Assist with payroll.
- Produce and submit reports.
- Track employee trends.
- Track and save employee warnings.
Other Duties:
- Random Drug Testing Management.
- Assist with Onboarding as needed.
- Certification compliance management (CPR, sexual harassment, and marine licensing).
- Employee mail management.
- Collect written and verbal statements and save to employee documents.
- Bonus’ and reimbursements.
- Investigate and assist with resolving employee concerns.
Qualifications:
- Solid communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of labor legislation.
- Basic understanding of Sterling, Navigator, and Paycor platforms.
- An ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Must be able to work one weekend per month
