PURPOSE As the Talent Development Manager at Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel, you will play a key leadership role in driving the development and engagement of our most valuable asset—our Team Members. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Talent Development function, including managing the Talent Development Partner and ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategy. Your leadership will guide the creation and execution of comprehensive talent development programs aimed at improving Team Member performance, engagement, and organizational effectiveness. Talent Development Partner
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Strategy: Lead and develop the Talent Development team, providing mentorship, coaching, and guidance to the Talent Development Partner. Create and execute a talent development strategy that aligns with the casino's business goals and fosters a culture of continuous learning and Team Member engagement.
Program Development & Oversight: Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of talent development programs, ensuring they address training needs across all departments. Ensure these initiatives contribute to operational excellence, Team Member retention, and performance.
Onboarding & Integration: Collaborate with the Talent Development Partner to enhance the onboarding experience, ensuring all new Team Members understand the company’s culture, values, and expectations and are equipped to succeed in their roles. Ensure the seamless integration of new Team Members through effective onboarding and training programs.
Engagement & Recognition Programs: Collaborate with the Talent Development Partner to drive Team Member recognition and engagement initiatives, including "Best of the Best," "100% Club," and "We Appreciate You (WAY)" programs. To foster a positive work culture, oversee or collaborate on Team Member events such as the family picnic, annual holiday contests, Team Member rallies, and Team Member appreciation initiatives.
Performance Management & Leadership Development: Design and implement leadership development programs that help build supervisory skills, improve performance management, and strengthen the leadership pipeline. Provide coaching and support to leaders at all levels to help them develop and manage their teams effectively.
Training Content Development: Oversee the development and maintenance of effective training content and materials that support the goals of the Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel and other Snoqualmie Entertainment Authority entities. Ensure training content aligns with company policies, procedures, and operational needs. Regularly update training manuals, online learning modules, and other instructional resources to reflect best practices.
Budget & Resource Management: Manage the Talent Development budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively across programs to meet business needs. Monitor spending and optimize training programs to provide a high return on investment.
Metrics & Evaluation: Track, measure, and report on the effectiveness of Talent Development programs. Use data to assess outcomes, including Team Member performance, engagement levels, and business results. Adjust strategies and programs based on feedback and metrics to improve the impact of learning initiatives continually.
Certification & Tuition Reimbursement Program: Oversee the administration of the Certification & Tuition Reimbursement Program, ensuring that Team Members are aware of available resources and assisting with program tracking and reporting.
Compliance & Record-Keeping: Ensure compliance with all regulatory training requirements and maintain accurate training records. Oversee the management of training schedules, certifications, and training compliance.
Collaboration with Leadership: Work closely with department leaders to identify learning needs and tailor programs to meet department-specific goals. Provide consultation and support to leaders in delivering effective training and managing performance.
Testing & Evaluation Procedures: Develop and implement testing and evaluation procedures to assess the effectiveness of training programs. Ensure that skills assessments align with performance expectations and organizational objectives. Use testing data to improve training content and delivery methods.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field. Alternatively, an additional two (2) years of relevant full-time experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
Five (5) years of experience in talent development and/or training, with at least two (2) years in a leadership or managerial role, preferably in the hospitality or gaming industry.
Proven track record in designing and implementing talent development programs that drive organizational growth and Team Member engagement.
Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and training methodologies.

Performance Metrics & Data-Driven Insights: Skilled in tracking, measuring, and analyzing the effectiveness of development programs to drive continuous improvement.
Budget & Resource Management: Strong financial acumen in managing budgets for training programs, ensuring resource allocation aligns with business goals and delivers ROI.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with department leaders and other stakeholders to identify training needs and tailor solutions.
Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of industry regulations and experience in ensuring all training programs meet compliance standards and maintain accurate records.
Technology Savvy & Innovation: Proficiency with learning management systems (LMS) and other digital tools to deliver, track, and enhance training programs for scalability and effectiveness.
PREFERRED Education and Experience:
Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD), Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM), PHR (SPHR), SHRM-CP (SCP), or related.
Demonstrated experience delivering training in a large-scale, 24/7 workforce.
Skills and Abilities:
Certification in Training Instruction “Train the Trainer,” or from a National Program Training Association.
Knowledge of a secondary language, such as Chinese Mandarin or Spanish.
Snoqualmie Casino exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
