Job Summary
May schedule patient appointments, retrieve insurance authorization for all surgeries, testing and procedures; maintain and update physician schedules.
Essential Functions

Coordinates surgeries and information with other physician offices as needed; assembles patient charts and answers patient’s questions regarding surgery and testing.

Ensures that customer service targets are met.

Responsible for validation of documentation as it relates to scheduling verification and authorizations

Communicates and work well with physicians and department staff to accomplish assigned duties.

Executes policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of the services while meeting departmental budget goals.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.
Minimum Requirements

Education - High school diploma, GED or equivalent; OR post high school diploma.

Experience - Two (2) years clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
