Summary:
The Transport Supervisor will oversee and direct the activities of patient transport team members and communication center employees to deliver excellent customer service and attain departmental goals. The Supervisor is responsible for adjusting staffing to meet census demands and ensure adequate coverage at all times. The Supervisor will be actively involved in identifying opportunities to improve patient safety and efficiency of patient flow thorughout the hospital. This individual will prioritize transport requests as necessary in times of increased volume based on defined criteria to facilitate patient throughput. The Supervisor will serve as a Support Services Liaison and Communication Specialist when needed due to volume and staffing demands.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business or Healthcare preferred. Minimum two years relevant experience preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
Valid and active EMT or NREMT certification preferred
AHA BLS required
Work Requirements:
Shift: Day
On Call: No
Weekends: No
Travel Required: No Travel
