Student Worker
Position Description
The student assistant works as a member of a team collecting data related to corporate CEO's and Boards of directors. The effort will contribute to the maintenance of the largest database of CEO departure in the world that supports researchers across world in management, finance and accounting. We document the date of a CEO's departure and all media coverage surrounding the departure to help researchers model stock market reactions, compensation decisions and to improve research into staffing. The database has been downloaded nearly 9000 times, but it needs to be maintained and updated. Student researcher will work closely with Researchers in the effort. Work will be conducted in-person in the Entrepreneurship Center (Conner 10) during regular business hours.
Position Qualifications
- Currently enrolled students who can work in the office regularly (1 or 2 days a week for 3-5 hours at a stretch).
- Mature, detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to multitask.
- Quick learner with a can-do attitude.
- Accounting major a plus
- Spring 2025 graduate or later
- Candidates with relevant internship or work experience preferred.
Essential Functions
- Collect data from internet news source based on information provided by the researchers under supervision
Salary/Wage Information
$13.50 per hour
