Ameri Corps Training Assistant Every Body Works Ameri Corps Program, Williston and Burlington, Vermont Service Site: · Williston: 329 Harvest Lane, Williston Vermont Service Positions: · Half Time: 910 hours which can be met with a number of different schedules with an end date of August 31st 2025 ($15,000 stipend for the service term) Purpose: Re SOURCE is an innovative non-profit organization dedicated to its mission to empower individuals and strengthen Vermont communities through workforce development, poverty relief, and environmental stewardship. These Ameri Corps positions will support existing and new training programs that serve youth and young adults with disabilities. Every Body Works Training Assistants will coordinate daily student assignments with department staff to ensure students are making progress toward personal and professional goals. Most importantly, this position will create a safe learning environment and enhance service-based experiences for all of Re SOURCE’s participants. These Ameri Corps positions will support Re SOURCE’s new Work Based Learning (WBL) program. Our WBL program will work with high school students with disabilities from local high schools and provides work experiences and professional development in our Williston retail store. There is also opportunity for Ameri Corps members to serve in a capacity helping adults with barriers rejoin the workplace, volunteer coordination, learning to provide training support to individuals and groups with disabilities, and helping to organize service learning opportunities. Description of Duties: · Support existing & new training programs & volunteers that serve youth and adults with disabilities · Help participants develop essential job skills which will lead to employment · Support trainees with job readiness skills · Practice and role model expectations · Create & maintain a safe learning environment. · Support and provide students & trainees with feedback and opportunities to grow · Support trainees through meaningful connections · Collaborate with supervisor to establish personal development goals · Participate in service projects including National Days of Service Qualifications: · Excellent written and verbal communication · Experience serving disadvantaged populations · Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Access, Excel, Outlook, and Word · Valid license and reliable transportation a must for some positions · Must complete a National Service Criminal History Check · Must undergo Agency of Human Services Adult & Child Abuse Registry Check · Priority candidates will have experience in youth development · Must be a U.S. citizen, a national, or legal permanent resident · Must be at least 18 years old · Must have high school diploma or GED certificate. · Must pass a National Service Criminal History Check · Must not have been convicted of murder or listed on the National Sex Offender registry Benefits: · Earn an annual Ameri Corps living allowance of $15,000 (Half Time) · Earn an Education Award ($3,697 for successful completion of a Half Time term) Positions available now, applicants are encouraged to apply ASAP to interview and have enough time for successful applicants to complete all necessary paperwork and background checks to become Ameri Corps members Re SOURCE serves diverse populations throughout Vermont.
