for a Stair Assembler with wood-working skills to build stair systems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Building each stair system within the allotted time frame and within compliance with Southern Staircase quality standards.
Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requesting needed material from Warehouse
Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Ability to control cost and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Requires good woodworking skills
CNC Machine Operation experience preferred
Ability to read tape measure and perform basic math accurately
Ability to operate power tools, table saw, band saw, chop & miter saw and any woodworking related tools
Ability to work in a production type environment with some heavy lifting required
Ability to build stair systems within company standards
Maintain manufacturing quality, mechanical inspection tools, safety and quality focus
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing, stretching, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling required.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
Visual acuity to properly inspect and modify large and detailed portions of machinery.
Manual dexterity to assemble, disassemble, adjust, and relocate machines.
