Job Description
The Washington Post's Sports department is looking for a part-time editorial aide to join our dynamic team of journalists. This is a detail-oriented position that requires a strong work ethic and the ability to multitask.
Responsibilities:

Help manage production of the daily Sports section.
- Build the daily scoreboard page, create television and radio listings.
- Day-to-day administrative tasks, including proofreading and distributing news tips to editors and reporters.
- Opportunities to write, primarily covering high school sports.
Qualifications:

A passion for journalism.
- A punctual and reliable self-starter who takes direction well.
- An interest in sports.
This position is based in our Washington newsroom and includes about 20 hours per week. We have identified a strong candidate for this role but would like to hear from others interested in editorial aide work on the Sports desk. The hourly pay for this role is $28.00/hr.
