Two Rivers Supervisory Union has an opening for the 2024-2025 school year for a Special Educator to work in their Intensive Needs/Autism Program located in Ludlow. This program will offer the opportunity for Pre-K through 6th grade students to integrate into the mainstream setting while providing them with the social emotional skills and support they need to be successful. The special educator will work with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals to meet the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students. Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide individual and small group instruction for students.
Maintain records on progress of students to identify difficulties, track progress and justify treatment.
Possess a working knowledge of Special Education Law, writing Individualized Plans, adapting curriculum, and inclusionary practices.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with teachers, special educators, related service providers and families to develop and implement programs.
The candidate must hold or be eligible to receive certification as a special educator in Vermont. A master’s degree is preferred. Background Check Required. EOE. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $46,990.00 - $92,790.00 per year Benefits:
