Social Worker
Therapist / Social Worker (Full-Time)
West Virginia | Full-Time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Actively seeking a Therapist or Social Worker (LPC/LMFT/LCSW/LMSW) to join our team in West Virginia.
This role involves providing mental health services, counseling, and support to individuals and families dealing with a variety of life challenges, including mental health issues, trauma, substance abuse, and family dynamics.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, a commitment to helping others, and a passion for making a positive impact on the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy in accordance with best practices and ethical guidelines.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for clients.
- Offer evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address mental health conditions, trauma, substance use, and other challenges.
- Build and maintain strong therapeutic relationships with clients to foster trust and facilitate positive outcomes.
- Document treatment progress and maintain accurate, confidential records in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including medical professionals, case managers, and community resources, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed and offer ongoing support to clients experiencing difficult emotional or mental health situations.
- Advocate for clients within the community and connect them with relevant resources, including housing, employment, legal support, and other social services.
- Maintain a professional, supportive, and empathetic approach in all client interactions.
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss client progress and treatment plans.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW), Counseling, Psychology, or a related field required.
- Valid licensure in the state of West Virginia (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LICSW, LMFT, LMSW or equivalent). If not licensed, candidates must be in the process of obtaining licensure.
- Experience providing therapeutic services, including assessments and counseling, to individuals or groups.
- Knowledge of mental health disorders, substance abuse treatment, and trauma-informed care.
- Strong understanding of state and federal regulations governing mental health care and social work practice.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Empathy, active listening, and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and/or families in crisis.
- Specialized training or certifications in trauma-focused care, substance use treatment, or other therapeutic modalities.
- Previous experience working in a community-based setting or in healthcare/social services organizations.
