Church Hill Landscapes is hiring for a Snow Plow Operator for a Chittenden County route for the 2024/2025 snow season. This is an on-call, part-time position with the option of full time work with our landscape services team through the winter, if desired. We’re looking for a team player with experience in the industry who loves seasonal snow work. A great opportunity for someone who’s been doing the work on their own and is ready for the support of a professional team. Additional year-round opportunities with our landscape services or landscape construction teams are available for interested candidates.
Responsibilities
- Operate a pickup truck fitted with a snow plow and salter to perform high-quality snow and ice removal services for Church Hill clients
- Spread sand and/or salt as needed
- Monitor weather and site conditions daily
- Collaborate with Church Hill’s snow team to coordinate snow services for all accounts
- Assist with sidewalk snow removal, as needed
- Meet or exceed service standards set by the Landscape Services Division Manager
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a snow plow operator
- On-call availability November 15-April 15
- Capable of operating equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
- Ability to work outdoors in various winter conditions
- Effective communication skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate mobile/web applications for time tracking
Compensation
The wage range for this position is $25-$28/hour plus time-and-a-half compensation for off-hours, weekends and holidays
