SHERIFF CRIME DATA ANALYST - STARTING PAY: $28.23-$31.15
BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The Crime Analyst will support law enforcement efforts by analyzing crime data to identify patterns, trends, and potential suspects. The role involves utilizing data analysis techniques, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and SQL to provide actionable insights that help reduce crime rates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in criminal justice, criminology, or data analysis, along with practical law enforcement experience. The Crime Analyst will work in an office setting, with occasional fieldwork required for data collection and analysis. The role may involve working irregular hours based on the needs of ongoing investigations and law enforcement activities. The omission of specific job duties does not imply that these are the only responsibilities required of the position. The Crime Analyst may be assigned additional duties related to crime data as deemed necessary by their supervisor or the needs of the department. Employee must be able to perform all duties with minimal supervision. Employee may be required to work irregular hours, attend job related meetings in and out of town, and perform other duties and completes projects as assigned.
