Job Overview We are seeking a coordinator to play a supportive and pivotal role at ananda hair studio. The right candidate has the ability to be the host of the salon, welcoming our clients at the door and ensuring everyone has an elevated experience! Our ideal candidate is upbeat and able to provide excellent day-to-day support of salon managers, clients, stylists, and facilities. You will be booking appointments on Phorest software while handling all communication with clients and the team to ensure a great experience and keeping all areas of the salon space clean and tidy. An integral component of this position is your ability to work independently, collaborate with the stylists as a team, anticipate needs, maintain the space, attend daily huddles with salon leaderships, track bookings, etc. Key Characteristics:

3+ years of hospitality/customer service experience

Proactive problem solver
Organizational skills with the ability to multitask

Responsibilities Client Satisfaction: Works directly with the full team to engage with clients and ensure their experience is a positive one. The client having their current salon experience is your biggest priority!
Greeting and welcoming Clients; use names whenever possible, alert stylist that their client has arrived
Assisting clients/guests with retail purchases by informing of current promotions, and utilizing product knowledge- the coordinator recap!
Corresponding with new clients to obtain necessary information and enter in computer system, and/or directing to stylists
Maintaining traffic control in the salon
Giving tours and explaining time-based pricing and retail offers to new clients
Making beverages for all clients and keeping the beverage area tidy and stocked throughout your shift
Inventory maintenance; keeping retail shelves stocked and clean
Salon appearance and upkeep:
Ensuring the salon is adequately set up to operate at the beginning of the day, and overseeing that all areas are properly reset at the end of the day
Upkeep of all areas of the salon during operation including outside entrance, waiting area, retail, salon floor, color bar, shampoo area, kitchen area, bathroom.
Assisting in sweeping, vacuuming, folding towels, washing dishes, and stocking duties
Cleaning and organizing front desk, retail shelves, retail closet
Ensuring that laundry is cycling at all times- ensure towels and capes are available for use
Keeping coffee, tea, and beverage bar area clean and stocked
Contacting appropriate parties when salon is damaged/appliances malfunction
Appointment flow:
collaboration with stylists on the floor
Awareness of clients throughout their service to ensure quality experience. i..e: beverage refills
Awareness of appointment timing, ability to problem solve in the moment, seek out available helpers as needed, and offer solutions for any complications
Notifying stylists of “day-of bookings” as they occur
Communications:
Accurate and open communication with team and clients
Phorest software and phorest go chats, Google workplace,BAND - expected to become proficient in the capabilities and functions of the salon software used by ananda hair studio
We expect that these forms of communication are monitored and addressed throughout your shift
Answer phone calls and email correspondence with clients
Make detailed appointment notes for appointments booked at the desk
Organize and schedule appointments
Keep detailed notes/records of bookings for team utilization
Closing email
Client accounts
Revision details logged for stylist compensation purposes
Appropriately directing information needed for follow up communication to the necessary parties
Retail sales and stocking:
Assisting clients/drop in’s with product knowledge and recommendations
Product sales and inventory stock
Assisting with accepting retail and professional product deliveries as necessary
Compensation
Starting at $22.10/hour based on experience
Schedule
required: closing shifts and Saturdays - salons are closed on sunday
holiday salon closures: july 4th; thanksgiving and day after; christmas and day after; new years day
