Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)—Med-Surg Department: Medical-Surgical Unit Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Med-Surg unit is responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients with a variety of medical conditions, such as infections, cardiovascular issues, respiratory problems, gastrointestinal disorders, or post-surgical recovery. The RN will manage a range of patient needs, from simple monitoring to complex interventions, while collaborating with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and families. Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
Licensure/Certification:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required depending on the facility.
Experience:
Prior experience in a medical-surgical setting preferred (but not always required for entry-level roles).
Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
