Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, and providing high-quality images for accurate diagnosis. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, as well as proficiency in aseptic techniques and diagnostic evaluation.
Duties
Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans.
Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during imaging procedures.
Prepare and position patients for imaging exams according to established protocols.
Operate radiologic equipment proficiently while adhering to safety standards.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and findings.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to imaging procedures.
Follow aseptic techniques to prevent infection during procedures.
Stay updated on advancements in radiology technology and techniques.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to diagnostic radiology.
Familiarity with medical terminology used in radiology settings.
Experience or knowledge in nuclear medicine is a plus.
Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations effectively.
Previous experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is preferred but not required.
Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members.
Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Certification as a Radiologic Technologist from an accredited program is required.
