Schedule Details:
Our Guest Services Department operates 24 hours per day/7 days a week - Guest Service Team Members will work varying shifts ranging between the hours of 5:30am through 12:00am with the possible occasional graveyard of 10:00pm-6:00am.
Additional Responsibilities Include:
Check-in and check-out hotel guests in a confident, professional, and friendly manner; Review all incoming arrivals and coordinate pertinent guest information to designated department (i.e. VIP guests, special requests, amenity delivery).
Provide friendly and efficient telephone and general PBX services. Calls should be answered promptly and knowledgeably, always ensuring complete and accurate information. Inform guests of any messages, mail, faxes, etc. received for them - take, record, and relay messages and accept and record wake-up call requests.
Adhere to all cashiering procedures: open, secure and balance out shift banks to include the verification of all cash, credit card, and check transactions, and ensure accurate credit card procedures are followed to include credit card PCI compliance and guest signature(s).
Build and maintain knowledge of: hotel features/services, fire and emergency procedures, hours of operation, room types, layout, decor, etc. All room rates, special packages and promotions, daily house count and expected arrivals/departures, room availability status for any given day, and scheduled daily group activities.
Provide Concierge service - affluent knowledge of local restaurants, special events, city attractions, and guest amenities.
Assist in all other duties as assigned by management.

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum one (1) year of prior hotel experience. Luxury hotel experience preferred.
Excellent command of the English language (speak, read, write) with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding
Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger.
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
Previous experience in a guest relations position and experience with property management systems preferred. Opera highly desirable.
