Job Duties/Scope Of Work
This position provides quality assurance engineering support to organizations under the Hanford Mission Essential Services Contract. Responsibilities typically include but are not limited to technical and administrative direction related to company quality policy, quality assurance manuals and other quality affecting procedures, and overseeing quality assurance budgeting activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage the triennial 10 CFR 835, Occupational Radiation Protection, Part 102, internal audits of the radiation protection program.
- Prepare and/or revise the company quality system standard, project/division quality assurance plans, program manuals and procedures.
- Provide technical and administrative direction related to company quality policy, quality assurance manuals and other quality affecting procedures.
- Perform formal and documented audits/reviews/surveillances, prepared and issued to responsible division, project and quality assurance management.
- Maintain auditor/lead auditor qualifications.
- Prepare and presents quality-related indoctrination and training sessions to division or project personnel.
- Reviews vendor quality manual and other quality-related documentation to ensure compliance with stated requirements.
- Provides review and follow-up actions related to non-conformance reports and corrective action requests.
- Maintain familiarization with government/industry consensus quality assurance codes and standards.
- Maintain amicable client relations.
- Prepare written or oral presentation materials in support of company proposal activities.
- Maintain knowledge of safety policies and procedures and performs assigned duties in a safe manner and, if supervising other, has responsibility for the safety of those being supervised and ensures they comply with established safety policies and procedures and practice safe work habits.
Basic Qualifications
*Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience in quality assurance, contractor assurance, or radiological controls - OR - an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in Radiological Control.
- Experience in conducting assessments/audits.
Desired Qualifications
*Experience developing, publishing, and implementing test plans.
- Knowledge and understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Experience with highly regulated environment e.g. NQA-1, ISO-9001, 10 CFR 830.120, DOE O 414.1, and EM-QA-001.
- Ability to plan and schedule assigned work and complete tasks on time.
- Flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and/or changing priorities.
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision.
- NQA-1 Lead Auditor Qualification.
- Proficiency in the use of applicable computer applications.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, high degree of accountability and ownership.
- Strong organizational and skills.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and monitor a wide variety of team efforts to their successful conclusion.
- Highly self-motivated and self-directed.
- Intermediate knowledge/skills in analyzing information, reporting research results.

Compensation & Benefits
Grade 18: $104,175 - $131,425
Grade 19: $114,475 - $144,325
Grade 20: $126,025 - $158,875
