Overview of the Position: PICA is seeking a dynamic and experienced President who will serve as the visionary of the Association, leveraging the power of relationships and networks, while working within the Graphics Communications and Printing industries, primarily within North and South Carolina but extending regionally and nationally to enhance the Associations presence within the industry. The President is the steward of the PICA brand and representative of the Association within the industry and the community. The chosen individual will be responsible for developing and implementing programs and services to promote an environment which assists members in improving their profitability and ability to adapt to the future, while maintaining the financial stability of the Association. Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree and/or extensive executive management and sales/marketing experience. A demonstrated and strong financial background is also required, and strong preference will be given to candidates with a background in the Graphic Communications and Printing industries. Favorable consideration will be given to candidates with Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation or a willingness to pursue the designation. The successful candidate must be able to organize and communicate thoughts, both orally and in writing to a diverse audience of members, business entities, board members and staff. Specific Responsibilities: 1. Develops and maintains a competent and adequate organization, both in structure and personnel, to elevate the services of the Association to its members. 2. Presides over all Board of Directors and membership meetings, preparing agendas and ensuring proper voting procedures. Act as a facilitator, guiding the meeting, asking for votes, and encouraging other members to speak. 3. Coordinates the Board of Directors in developing strategic plans and goals, setting priorities and establishing policies to fulfill the Association’s mission. 4. Recruits new members to the Association and oversees the recruitment and retention efforts of members by the Board of Directors and other staff. Reporting monthly on all recruitment activities. 5. Oversees the Association’s financial affairs and holds the responsibility of creating annual budgets with the Treasurer, and with input from accountants and attorneys where necessary. Responsible for protecting all assets and ensuring proper financial controls are in place. 6. Develops programs and products to increase non-dues revenue for the Association and improve member efficiencies and profitability. 7. Oversees staff on special events to promote Association programs and services, including soliciting sponsorship and effective marketing for events. 8. Serves as executive editor of all official publications. 9. Provides necessary liaison and support for PICA’s Board of Directors and committees, and the PICA Foundation 10. Develops and maintains rapport with member companies through visits to plants and personal interactions. 11. Maintains relationships with other Associations, educators, industry, government, public service organizations and vendors as are desirable or necessary in the best interests of the Associations and in conformity with the overall objectives and policy of the organization. 12. Recruits, hires, trains and motivates Association personnel. Responsible for determining salaries, promotions and terminations. 13. Keeps PICA Chair, Executive Committee and Board informed of the conditions and operations of the Association. 14. Serves as the chief spokesperson promoting the Graphic Communications and Printing industries in North and South Carolina. 15. Guides the staff in developing marketing and business materials, programs and services in accordance with the priorities established by the Board of Directors. 16. Represents the board and the Association in its entirety by avoiding the interference of personal agendas by board members and committee leaders. 17. Promotes a sense of community by supporting open communication through whatever means available, encouraging member participation and making him/herself available to the membership. 18. Generates and distributes monthly prospecting reports to the Board of Directors. This report to include the following details: a. List of current month’s membership sales calls. b. Review of previous month’s close rate. c. Strategic plan for failed calls. And other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year Benefits:
