Overview Position Summary: The Practice Managerassumes responsibility for ensuring the cost-effective delivery of quality patient care while striving for continued improvement in operating and financial performance. In conjunction with leadership, the Practice Manager plays a key role in the implementation and enforcement of the practice’s strategic plan(s). Responsible for the overall service experience and support of staff to help deliver clinical excellence to patients.
Effectively promotes high standards of practice through adherence to policies, protocols, and practice guidelines; identifies and corrects deficiencies in policies, protocols and guidelines utilizing performance improvement processes.
Provides oversight of practice location and oversees all aspects of workflow management.
Administrative and functional supervision of all clinical staff members including optical staff, traveling staff members, and providers.
Accountable for the Practice’s operational and performance goals, and ensures the staff is aware of the performance merits.
In collaboration with the executive management team , develops a marketing strategy in order to create and implement a comprehensive marketing plan for the Practice.
Ensure appropriate staffing of professional and support staff regarding patient scheduling and budgetary requirements.
Communicates effectively with the practice clinical staff to ensure quality of delivered care.
Facilitates communication among physicians, staff and administration establishing a climate that encourages teamwork and promotes collegial collaboration among all team members.
Plans and facilitates staff office meetings to communicate key initiatives and evoke change.
Responsible for addressing patient complaints.
Manages staff schedules and approves time off and timecards for payroll.
Monitors and evaluates performance of staff members by setting goals and conducting performance appraisals.
Identifies and addresses performance and behavioral problems of staff; counsels and disciplines according to THE WECARE GROUP’S policies.
Recommends personnel actions, such as promotions, demotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions. Assists in the interpretation of and compliance with Human Resources.
Assists in the hiring process by interviewing candidates and provides hiring recommendations based upon THE WECARE GROUP’S required competencies and desired behaviors.
Reviews and approves all Center-related invoices for medical and office supplies.
Assumes responsibility for performance KPI’s and budgets and other operational analyses to help drive growth and efficiency.
Provides productivity reports to physicians.
Identify opportunities to increase quality, safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in the practice.
