Powersports Service Technician

Rich's Yamaha in Lockport, IL, is presently seeking a skilled and experienced Motorsports Technician to join our team. Conveniently located a mile from I-355 on Archer Ave, our dealership is recognized for its focus on brands including Yamaha, CFMOTO, SSR, Benelli, Genuine Scooter, and Wolfbrand Scooter. As a Motorsports Technician, you will:

Accurately diagnose and execute repairs in accordance with factory specifications, adhering to set timelines.
Clearly and comprehensively document repair findings and procedures undertaken in repair orders.
Inform the Service Writer/Manager of any additional work required or potential delays, enabling timely customer notification.
Pursue OEM certifications and ongoing training initiatives (sponsored by the dealership).
Efficiently perform electrical and mechanical diagnoses.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with the service advisor.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
Operate all machines marketed by the dealership competently.

Candidate Profile:

Possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in the Powersport industry, preferably in a dealership environment.
Exhibit excellent teamwork skills, working harmoniously with technicians, Service Writers, and other dealership associates.
Demonstrate keen attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
Exhibit strong self-motivation and enthusiasm.
Exhibit punctuality, reliability, and accountability.

Mandatory Requirements:

Valid driver's license.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of the motorsports industry.
Previous experience at another dealership.
Ability to stand for extended hours, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Operational Hours:
We are open seven days a week, operating on the following schedule:

Monday - Tuesday: 9 AM - 7 PM
Wednesday: 9 AM - 6 PM
Thursday - Friday: 9 AM - 7 PM
Saturday: 9 AM - 4 PM
Sunday: 10 AM - 3 PM
