Pool Maintenance Technician

ABOUT THE POSITION:
Hawaii Preparatory Academy is looking for a reliable individual to maintain our pool area for 10 hours per week with a flexible schedule, working 3 or more days a week. Join our team to help keep our pool safe, clean, and enjoyable for our community.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily (3 Days a Week or More)
  • Clean water vacuum filters and place the vacuum in the water; set to a 3-hour cycle.
  • Remove and replace the trash bag in the office trash can if it is full; replacements are located in the tool drawer.
  • Take trash to the large black bins as needed.
Weekly (Must Be Done Once a Week)
  • Brush the deep walls and the shallow bottom of the pool, reaching from the deck.
  • Hose down the pool deck on both the office side and the Mauka side.
As Needed
  • Use the trash pump to vacuum the pool's deep end.
  • Remove and reposition pool covers as needed to brush certain areas.
  • Repair tie-downs on covers or grates as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to work outdoors and perform manual tasks.
  • Basic understanding of pool maintenance (preferred but not required; training can be provided).
  • Attention to detail to ensure a safe and clean environment.
