Job Description
Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide patient care, including implementing treatment plans and exercises, monitoring progress, and educating patients on proper techniques.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans created by the Physical Therapist
- Provide hands-on therapy, including exercises, stretches, and manual therapy techniques
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities of daily living
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and exercises
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and common physical therapy techniques
