Dynamic Optometry practice seeking experienced patient service coordinator to join our growing team. Knowledge of patient software and computer functionality is a plus, as well as experience in the optometry field. Individual will be responsible for, but not limited to, maintaining the patient schedule, checking patients in, checking patients out, verifying patient benefits, preparing patients schedule, basic knowledge of products and services offered. This will require that the individual be able to multi-task, answer various questions related to the field, as well as maintain a calm and organized environment at our front desk. The responsibilities are as follows, but no limited to::
Gather demographic and insurance information to ensure proper handling of patient charges and maintain clinic schedule based on provider availability and patient needs.
Collect patient information necessary for office visit including demographics and insurance information and enter in Practice Management system.
Confirming appointments.
Maintaining Recalls
Manage communication from patients in person by phone, internet or other correspondence to schedule and/ or confirm patient appointments; including patients on a waiting or no show list to ensure they are seen in a timely manner.
Create and release communication for patient education on location, provider, specialty and any necessary information needed prior to the appointment.
Maintain appearance of lobby and patient areas outside of clinical area.
Maintain a pleasant and courtesy attitude towards our patients.
Assist in other aspects of the office as deemed necessary.
Willing to travel between our 2 office locations as needed.
