Desires by Mikolay, a full service independent retail store located in Ridgefield, CT, is seeking part-time Sales Assistant with a love of sales and customer service. Work environment allows individuals to express their creativity and take an active role in store/brand planning. The position requires assisting the sales staff, customer service, promoting and participating in store events, and merchandising.
Candidate must have strong organizational skills, possess drive, be goal oriented, be able to set priorities, learn and adapt to new procedures and display an energetic and positive attitude. Excellent communication with sales team and management is expected, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
CUSTOMER SERVICE

Welcome customers and answer questions with a friendly, positive attitude
Offer refreshments to customers
Answer and direct calls of multi-line phone system
Take in jewelry repairs, watch batteries and jewelry for cleaning
Facilitate delivery of merchandise to customers
Gift wrapping
Process payments by totaling purchases; processing checks, cash, and credit cards.

SHOWROOM MAINTENANCE

Steam & clean stock pieces on display
Retagging products
Assist with in-store event set-up and activation
Replenish displays and other products as needed and assist in the inventory process
Rearrange jewelry cases for new merchandise, season changes, special events, and clearance sets.
Help maintain store cleanliness to help keep store clean, safe and inviting by wiping down display cases, dusting etc.
Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of jewelry counters and areas.
End of day breakdown

STAFF SUPPORT

Assist sales team with customer orders
Assist with in-store event set-up and activation
Participate in creating brand content for our social media accounts (i.e. taking photos of
products, posting about upcoming in-store events, etc.)
Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to watch sizing, watch batteries and ear piercing.
Additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned by the Store Manager or management

REQUIREMENTS

Must have at least 1 year of jewelry retail experience
Must be available Saturdays
Must be familiar with Mac computer systems

PAY$20.00 - $28.00 per hour.
